Cornell Sample is the Founder of Mr. Pit Master Barbeque. He came from a family with 9 children. Cornell’s parents, Roosevelt, a great backyard grill master, and Dora Mae Page, taught their children many values especially prayer, hard work, and dedication to family ethics. These values, truly influenced the love of cooking that Cornell has still today and are what bring their family together in the kitchen and at meal time.

Michelle Sample is the Co-Founder of Mr. Pit Master Barbeque. Cornell has shared his techniques and southern customs of barbeque with wife, Michelle, for the last ten years. The challenge when they first met was to see who would be able to create the best dessert. Michelle won the competition and then won Cornell’s heart. These customs and their love is shared with their children and grandchildren as a family business in the Southeastern part of Michigan
